I have a settop box with rf cable input and rca output which goes inside my tv tuner card. The settop box comes with its own remote control which i use to change channels on winxp using intervideo hometheatre software. I have intervideo remote and IR receiver which is used to browse through the software.

Now when i installed win7(on another partition), WMC is not detecting the IR receiver even though its listed in the device manager, I am able to get preview of the cable signal and when i click next, i get the 'IR received not detected' error. Intervideo discontinued the software. I tried the virtual remote software, It didnt work. I unistalled and reinstalled the IR receiver (which shows as:HID compliant user control device ) but still doesnt work the model of IR receiver is XPC-RC01 still i am able to watch tv on winxp with intervideo software and the same IR receiver which again displays as HID compliant user control device in the device manager on winxp too.
